Within Geo4all WP2, a generic Drilling Risk Matrix has been developed for geothermal wells. The matrix helps operators and project teams systematically identify and assess drilling risks and document possible risk management measures. It distinguishes between the risk before and after preventive and mitigation measures are applied.

The matrix is intended as a practical starting point for project-specific risk assessments and also addresses more complex well concepts, such as highly deviated and multilateral wells. The accompanying report describes the methodology and how the matrix can be used.
