On 12 June, Geothermie Nederland organised the Geothermal Energy & Innovation meeting. One year after the start of the multi-year Geo4all innovation programme, project leader Darren Jones presented a review of the progress made so far and gave a preview of what lies ahead. This was followed by in-depth updates from two work packages, work package 1 and work package 4, in which the first results and insights from the programme were shared:
- What has been learned from existing extractions in the medium-deep range? Lies Peters and Nora Heijnen provided an update from the Geo4all work package 1 research programme “Unlocking shallow geothermal reservoirs: Key insights for optimal exploitation of geothermal energy from medium depths (500-1500 m)”.
